The sun appeared late in the today after a four day hiatus. While hurricane Joaquin had missed The Garden State, the last few days were dreary and cold.

When the sun returned today I knew immediately that catching the sunset was a must. Finally, something to work with in the month of October.

There are several farms in the area and throughout the state that offer pumpkin picking, hay rides and other festive activities. After a quick google search I decided that Terhune Orchards in Princeton would be my destination.

The sky had a little more juice than usual. The clouds had a jump in there step and the rays were beaming down strongly. Princeton has a lot of back roads and is filled with open spaces. Those elements can get in the way of reaching a destination due to environment distraction.

While I did eventually make it to Terhune Orchards the sign read “Closed, We Open Tomorrow at 9.” Ugh, foiled again. I’ll make it back to Terhune Orchards later this month with camera in hand. I hope you enjoy the photos below that are centered on tonight’s beautiful sky.
